I have been using one for about six months and it works so well I wanted to let everyone know about it.

The first time I used the American Defense QD mount was when I did the review of the Pulsar Thermion XP38 Thermal Rifle Scope. After that scope review, I used it for my Thermion XM38.
I still use the mount and after years of service it still works like a champ with my Thermion 2 XP50 Pro and my Infiray Bolt TH50-C thermal scopes.
I have two uppers for my AR15 that I use for hunting. For coyotes, I prefer the 223 Wylde caliber, and for hog hunting, I prefer the 6.5 Grendel. Since I now only have one thermal scope, I need a reliable QD mount that I can trust to return to zero when moved from one upper assembly to the other. I do not want to waste time and ammo checking the zero every time I make the change.
American Defense Manufacturing has broken the code for the QD mount. I can tell you that in my experience, it will always return to zero. Not close, but dead-on, time after time. Yes, I was a doubter too. I checked it several times, but now I know that when I close the latches on the AD-RECON-30, the only thing I have to worry about is finding a target. The scope will be on!
The American Defense mount is very easy to install – if you read the instructions. And the locking latches do not have to be overly tight to work. Just enough to take up the slack and click the lock lever is all it takes.
