I mounted a Vortex Diamondback HP 3x12x42 Scope on the CZ-455 and it has turned out to be an excellent scope for the rifle. The Diamondback HP series has the Vortex extra-low dispersion (XD) glass to increase resolution and color fidelity, and fully Multi-Coated lenses with XR proprietary coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces. The scope has the Vortex Deadhold BDC Reticle and works well for high powered rifles, rimfire rifles and even Muzzleloading rifles.

The side focus lets you shoot parallax free down to 30 yards so it is a great scope for at 22LR or more powerful caliber. The finger adjustable turret knobs are great for making quick changes when target shooting and the Deadhold BDC (bullet drop compensation) reticle makes it easy to shoot accurately in the field.
This Vortex Diamondback HP series is also available in 2×8 or 4×16 power, depending on your needs. The scope worked well on my CZ-455, but out at 200 yards, the side focus does not seem to work as it should. Works great out to 100 yards Street price is about $350.
The scope is bright and clear and the windage and elevation tracks very well. You can feel the clicks with no mushy drag as you turn the knobs. I liked this scope so much, I ordered a second one for my Muzzleloader. I have killed several deer and Doug, the other part of The Old Deer Hunters took a nice buck at 175 yards. I holds zero on the lightweight 50 caliber from year to year and continues to perform well.
One of the main reasons I bought this scope is the the side focus. A scope that zooms from 3-12 power has to have a focus for the image to be clear at long or very close range. It is one of the few 1″ scopes available with an adjustable focus. The knob is numbered for yards and it is pretty close. When deer hunting, I set it at 100 yards on 3X and it is very clear.

Yesterday I encountered a buck at at 170 yards and was able to quickly zoom up to 12X and make just a touch of focus adjustment, I could clearly see he had 10 points. I could see that his tines were a little short and passed the buck. You need a quality scope with parallax focus to make that evaluation before you pull the trigger. That is exactly why I bought the Vortex Diamondback HP 3-12×42 and it did not fail me.

The BDC reticle works well on my 50 cal with 250 bullets with 3 Hodgdon Triple 7 pellets. Zeroed at 100 yards, the first hash mark is on at 150 yards and second hash mark is right on at 200 yards.
