Sightmark Wraith 4K Night Mini

Sightmark Wraith 4K Mini Digital Night Vision Riflescope $799 at AMAZON

The Wraith 4K Mini 2-16×32 Digital Riflescope combines Sightmark’s advanced digital optic technology available to deliver the finest day/night riflescope known to the firearms industry. Boasting an incredible 4K (3840×2160) CMOS sensor, the Wraith 4K Mini detects objects up to 300 yards away in the darkest of nights and displays them on a flawless 1280×720 FLCOS screen.

Although it’s extremely light and compact, the Wraith 4K Mini features big-time capabilities. The Wraith 4K Mini’s built-in recorder produces .AVI-format videos in 1080p and/or 4K resolution, ensuring every shooting memory is captured and preserved in incredible detail. With 8x digital zoom, full-color HD imaging during the daytime and two digital night vision color palettes (green or black & white), 850nm IR illuminator and first-focal-plane reticle options, the Wraith 4K Mini enable shooters to locate and engage targets, near or far, with speed and precision.

Supremely durable, the Wraith 4K Mini is a solid aluminum scope that operates in temperatures ranging from 32F to 140F (0 to 60C), shockproof for drops up to 3 ft., IPX6 water-resistant and capable of handling recoil up to .308 Winchester.

Sightmark Wraith 4K Max

Sightmark Wraith 4k Night Vision Scope

The Sightmark Wraith 4K Max is a digital day and night vision riflescope with INTERNAL RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK. It has a 3-24×50 magnification, so it should have a wider field of view than the Wraith HD. That is good because the narrow field of view was one of the few things users complained about. The 4K sensor gives the Wraith 4K the ability to record in 4K with sound, even record in slow-motion! The retail price is $799, but it will probably be available at about a $100 discount.

Here are some of the specifications
10 reticle patterns

The Wraith comes with a fixed tactical type mount for mounting to a Picatinny type rail or you can purchase the Sightmark QD mount for about $60. The standard mount or QD mount brings the scope to just the right height for my AR15.

Wraith QD mounts are available from Outdoor Legacy Gear. It works very well on my Wraith HD.

Wraith 4K 850nm Illuminator

A new and improved detachable 850nm IR illuminator provides a detection range of up to 300 yards . This new IR light is physically larger than the IR on the Wraith HD and should work well for most hunters. The new Wraith has the same mounting system as the Wraith HD, so all existing mounts are compatible. The Wraith HD came with an adjustable IR illuminator mount attached to the top of the scope, while the new Wraith 4K has a solid mount on the left side of the scope.

The illuminator is mounted on the left side of the scope and makes it difficult for righthanded users to focus the scope. My first comment was, “that’s the first left-handed scope I have ever seen”. That might be a problem for bolt gun shooters, but most AR shooters move the light to the bottom or side of the handguard anyway.

There is a shroud over the end of the objective lens that looks like it might interfere with the sight picture. It actually is supposed to help the sight picture. Many Wraith HD owners use special lens covers with a hole about an inch in diameter drilled in the cover, who say it helps provide a better image. I can not confirm this fact, but it looks like Sightmark agrees since they have added the shroud.

I hope to get my hands on one soon and do a full review.
