SIG SAUER Classic P226 .22LR Rimfire
If you have not discovered the new Classic 22LR Sigs yet, let me introduce you to a great pistol. I just got my P226 Classic and it is a great pistol and a great buy. The 22’s are available in P226, P229, and P225. Mine has the beavertial which I really like and will help to tame the recoil of a 40cal slide should I choose to add the available slide/barrel available from SIG.
The SIG SAUER Classic .22’s are built on the same frame as their centerfire counterparts. All Classic .22’s feature the same SIG SAUER Four-Point safety system which employs a decocking lever, a patented automatic firing pin safety block, a safety intercept notch, and a trigger bar disconector. The new machined slides also feature a front sight adjustable for drift and a rear sight adjustable for both windage and elevation.

The price was only $450 counting shipping and transfer fees and I can add a center fire caliber barrel & Slide for another $300 for total of about $750. That is cheaper than buying the pistol in 9mm or 40cal. alone. Go figure!!
This thing shoots like a house on fire. Deadly accurate and reliable with only a couple of fail to feed’s in 400 rounds of Federal bulk ammo when it was really dirty. Keep it clean and it always fires. I never had so much fun shooting a 22 pistol. I definitely recommend it.
I added SigPower’s short magazine plug and spring kit to increase mag capacity to 15 rounds and they work like a champ.
