The NocPix Ace H50R: A Comprehensive Look at This Cutting-Edge Thermal Riflescope
NocPix Ace H50R Thermal Rifle Scope Review – Hunters and outdoor enthusiasts are constantly seeking tools that enhance their performance, particularly in challenging nighttime conditions or long-range engagements. Enter the NocPix Ace H50R: a thermal riflescope packed with advanced technology designed to meet these demands. Whether you’re targeting coyotes at night or scanning vast fields, this scope promises precision, clarity, and reliability.
In this blog, we’ll explore the standout features, real-world insights from users, and technical specifications of the Ace H50R to help you understand why it has become a favorite among hunters.
Features That Set the NocPix Ace H50R Apart
The NocPix Ace H50R combines cutting-edge thermal imaging technology with thoughtful design, making it a standout choice for hunters.
1. Thermal Imaging Excellence
At its core is a 640×512 high-resolution thermal sensor with a sensitivity rating of < 15mK. This ensures crystal-clear thermal imaging, even in the most challenging environments. The ultra-sensitive sensor delivers sharp visuals, revealing heat signatures that help hunters track prey in complete darkness.
2. Integrated Laser Rangefinder
The built-in laser rangefinder is a game-changer, offering accurate measurements up to 1,200 yards. Unlike other designs with protruding rangefinder modules, the Ace H50R integrates it seamlessly into the lens, maintaining a sleek profile without sacrificing functionality.
3. Innovative Ocular Zoom

The Ace H50R introduces an ocular zoom in addition to its digital zoom. This feature lets you magnify the base image without losing resolution, allowing for precise targeting without the pixelation typically associated with digital zoom. Combined with a 3x base magnification, the ocular zoom provides up to 9x optical magnification while retaining clarity.
4. Ballistic Calculator for Precision Shots
The scope features a built-in ballistic calculator. By entering your bullet’s velocity and ballistic coefficient, the scope calculates holdover and displays a secondary aiming reticle. This makes long-range shots significantly easier, particularly for rounds with steep ballistic arcs.
5. Dual Power System

The scope includes a dual power system, with an internal rechargeable battery complemented by two 18650 batteries. This setup ensures extended operation in the field, with USB-C charging support for added convenience.
6. High-Resolution Display
The 2560×2560 OLED display provides a vibrant, detailed view of your target. This high-resolution display, coupled with the powerful thermal sensor, offers unparalleled clarity, ensuring you never miss a critical detail.
7. Video Recording

The Ace H50R records videos in a circular format, optimized for social media sharing. While this format may require adjustments for certain platforms like YouTube, it offers hunters a way to document their experiences in high quality.
NocPix Ace H50R Thermal Rifle Scope Review Lessons Learned from Users and Reviewers
Feedback from users and top reviews has provided valuable insights into the Ace H50R’s performance:
- Battery Life Management
- Continuous laser rangefinding mode significantly reduces battery life. Users recommend carrying extra 18650 batteries, especially for long hunts or colder weather conditions where batteries drain faster.
- Zoom Versatility
- The ocular zoom is highly effective for maintaining resolution at higher magnifications. However, narrowing the field of view at maximum zoom requires careful target selection.
- Ease of Use
- While the scope is feature-rich, mastering its controls can take time. Hunters are advised to practice with the interface before heading into the field to avoid fumbling with settings during critical moments.
- Video Format Considerations
- The circular video recording format is ideal for social media but may require editing for broader applications. Nonetheless, users praise the scope’s image quality in recorded footage.
- Durability and Reliability
- The scope’s robust design, including the seamless integration of its rangefinder, ensures durability even in tough outdoor conditions.

NocPix Ace H50R Thermal Rifle Scope Review Real-World Performance
Hunting with the ACE H50R was a pleasure. So much so, I never noticed the heavier than normal weight. It lives up to all the claims with a beautiful image, accurate range finder, ballistic calculator and easy operation.
In testing, the Ace H50R demonstrated remarkable performance. Its pinpoint accuracy, courtesy of the integrated LRF and ballistic calculator, was evident during both static and dynamic shooting scenarios. The image quality held up exceptionally well, even under challenging conditions.
The image is better than most 640 resolution scopes, about the same as the InfiRay RH50/RH50R. The very large 2560×2560 AMOLED display makes thermal hunting a grand experience. Everything is easier to see and targets are easier to hit!
This scope seems to be designed for coyote hunters. Doug stacked up a lot of coyotes during our hunts, but I liked it just as well for hog hunting. The 3X magnification is perfect for about any kind of hunting. The great image and ballistic calculator makes long shots much easier. Overall, the H50R has everything to make every hunt enjoyable. Hunts will be posted on Youtube at The Old Deer Hunters.
